30TH September.
Proposal for graphics.
Format and Medium;
My print movie poster will be A4 size, but I will have to make sure it is in
high res because it may be blown up to fit on an ad shell, or a billboard. It
will be big enough for many people to see/read and will draw everybody’s
attention.
Sector;
the poster I will be publishing will be for the marketing of a film,
this poster can be published in magazines, on billboards and other types of
advertisements. A film poster is very important, because that’s what the
audience looks at and chooses weather to watch it or not, therefore the film
poster will have to look very intriguing to attract the audience.
Working title;
My title of my film is ‘triskaidekaphobia’. The title for the
film/poster is very important, it gives connotations of what the film is going
to be about, for example in a horror film there is normally ghost and dark
colors on the poster. On a horror movie poster the title is normally in a black
or red writing, with a particular font.
Genre;
My genre of film will be a supernatural horror, I have chose this
because it appeals to the audience I am pitching my poster to. It is also very
entertaining and will make people want to watch it.
Intended audience and age;
The age of this film will be 16+ I have chose this age because the
teenagers are able to understand the film and what’s happening, and it isn’t to
scary for them. My target audience will be for male and female, who have an
interest in horror movies.
Summary of content;
4 innocent teenagers decide to play a board game; they have no idea of
the consequences. Every time they land on the dreaded number 13 a demon makes
its way into their bodies and takes control, tragic things start to happen and
the only way to get it out is by rolling the number 7, but each turn the demon
becomes more powerful and begins to manifest inside the ‘host’ and if it isn’t
completed within 5 turns then the person will never go back to normal.
Summary of style;
As my film is a supernatural horror the poster will be dark, it will
have 4 teenagers around the board game and a figure what you cant quite make
out in the background what is making its way into one of the normal bodies to
take control. It makes the poster/film feel rather edgy, dark, and has a big
effect on the audience.
Legal and ethical considerations;
The film trailer will be on after 9pm on the TV, The film poster will be
suitable for all ages because it will be published on the side of buses and
billboards. It will be suitable for everybody and will not be racist, sexist
and will not offend any sort of people.
